Happy New Year 2011

Happy New Year!!  Time has gotten away from me it seems.  I have been tatting, a little bit anyway.  I just haven't had time to post any of it.  But it is a new year and I hope to do better with keeping track of what I am making.

Right now I am taking part in Jane Eborall's TIAS.  I have no clue what we are making, maybe it will be an  Opossum like Heidi, the Cross-Eyed Opossum at a zoo in Germany.  Isn't she cute!

Well here is my tatting on the TIAS, what ever it is.

I'm looking forward to the next installment, which I hope comes out soon.

Next time I will post pictures of a tatted pendant and earrings that I made with a Twilight theme.

Happy Tatting!

Welcome Back! When I saw the thumbnail photo I couldn't figure out if that was a teddy bear, or a panda or what! Now I realize 'Heidi" the sweet opossum is featured on the internet - if you can call opossums sweet! I'm never thrilled to see them scurrying around our property at night!! Ours are gray, however!

I was happy to get to see and hold the Pop A Bobbin shuttle at Old Economy last December. I am impressed at the workmanship and I love the fact that they use Aero bobbins. I'm looking forward to getting one soon, along with a larger post shuttle with a hook on the end, for holding a lot of thread.

I didn't get 'worried' about your blog, because your Mom assured me you were fine. Everyone has missed your interesting posts and excellent tatting ideas. But with your busy life, just post when you can! I'm fascinated with Jane's TIAS, but I haven't done one yet. I just like guessing what it's going to be!

I was just reading the prior post about your daughter's prom gown...geesh....I can remember seeing photos of you sitting with your children and they were ...small. Wow...on the verge of stepping out into the world as adults. The time has flown by!

So glad to know you are also taking part in Jane's T.I.A.S. Was just wondering today as I read through the days postings, "wonder who has two of those lovely shuttles," and it is YOU!

I think an Opossum is a fine guess!

Hi, Carol! Thanks for your comment today.

I wondered if that was a photo of a real animal or a toy! She is adorable!

Love your snazzy shuttles...

Hi Kathy, Isn't Heidi cute? Something about her crossed eyes are making her more adorable than other opossums. I so wanted to come to the last show. Seems like something always comes up. Maybe next time. Glad you got to see the pop-o-bobbin shuttle. I do love tatting with it and the tension on the thread is perfect. I want to get another on in a dark wood so I have a set, but I'm never in time to get one out of Jane's ETSY Shop, they sell as quickly as they get in the shop.

Hi Bev, I just came from you site to see your TIAS, lovely color choice.

Hi Gina, The kids sure have grown up fast. I don't know where the time has gone.

Hello Bella, nice to see you here. I have missed so many blogs over the past few months. I need to get caught up on your whimsical drawings, I always enjoy my visits to your blog.

Hi Isdihara, I love working with these shuttles, I have 5 of them and my Mom has a few too. They were the first wooden shuttles I bought in 1989 when I learned to tat.

Hi Fox, Heidi probably will be a stuffed animal after all the fame she has gotten lately. LOL!! Thanks for stopping by!
