I was finally able to make it to the Vicary Mansion in Freedom, PA, when they had one of their historical events. Each year the town of Freedom and the Vicary Mansion celebrate Freedom/Vicary Day. The town has parades, food, games and entertainment, while the Mansion hosts historic crafters demonstrating Quilting, Bobbin Lace, Paper Quilling, Scherenschnitt, and Tatting, along with giving tours and explaining the history of the mansion.
We had four tatters demonstrating plus a special Guest who came all the way from Ireland on a world tour. Feargal the leprechaun came to the Vicary Mansion along with his secretary, Miss Scarlet. Feargal and my William had a grand time meeting the other tatters. There was my mother Peg, Evalyn, and Kathy Nikalwicz of http://www.kathysvictoriantattedlace.blogspot.com.
This was such a fun and relaxing day for me, to sit and tat all day and talk with visitors when they came through the mansion. Kathy and I had a lot to talk about too.

Fox : )
Looks like you ALL had a great time! It's always fun to get together with other tatters!
Oh my,Oh my! I haven't heard from Feargal or Miss Scarlett for so long. I had no idea that they were with you and William.
Have lots of fun and post lots of photos.
How lovely to tat all day and sounds like you had a great day.

You captured a great photo of the front of the mansion! The citizens of Freedom and Beaver County are indebted to Mildred Pappas, who saved the mansion from the wrecking ball back in the 1970s with her five-year letter-writing campaign to various authorities.
We are also indebted to the many volunteers who have worked countless hours and many years to bring the 1829 mansion back to its glory!
Miss Scarlet looks right at home in front of the the miniature mansion!
It was truly wonderful to have you tat with us (although I did more talking than tatting!), and to 'meet' the very special guests Miss Scarlet, William and Feargal! Hope you can be with us again soon!
Sounds like so much fun! I love the tree full of tatting!
How wonderful that Miss Scarlet, Fergal and William got to cavort around the Vicary Mansion together! Finally an outing tailor-made for a lady, eh? Did the lads get into much trouble?
It sounds like a lovely day all around. Loved seeing the photos!
Good to see a picture of you all, sounds like you had a great time. I even spotted Kathy's Victorian lady on the mantel piece.
Hi Carole,
What a fun day out you would have meeting with friends in this gorgeous place.
I enjoyed seeing your photographs and what a sweet tree with all the beautiful tatting on it.
Have a happy weekend

Hi Fox and Tatskool, Yes we did enjoy having Feargal and Miss Scarlet and they had some awesome adventures with William. They have moved on and are in a new location. Tatskool, thank you for sending him to visit all of his fellow leprechauns.
Thank you everyone for visiting here today. I do enjoy your comments.
