Thread Received from Katherinne McKay and Giveaway by Wicked Tats

I have some beautiful thread to show today. I signed up for a giveawy on Katherinne McKay's Digital Alchamy and even though I wasn't picked as a winner, she sent me a sample of some thread that she has dyed. It wasn't enough that I received this lovely color "Fire" thread, Katherinne made an oriental oragami card to send the thread in. The card is just Beautiful!! I have already tatted a couple things from the thread. The colorway is perfect for the flower motif I have made. I have also tatted the "Hope" butterfly by Lady ShuttleMaker.

Thank you Katherinne for the Beautiful oragami card and thread!! Sherry, thank you for sharing the "Hope" Butterfly pattern. I'm sure I will make it over and over again.

Now to tell you of another giveaway going on right now. But hurry, time is running out to sign up for Aileen's Wicked Tats 2nd SPEEDY GIVEAWAY.

Happy Tatting!!

Carol, that is splendid, both the origami and the tatted treasures. The necklace is gorgeous. I love those colors! What a lovely gift to receive. :)

Your new thread and origami card and tatted bits are positively drool-a-rific! The luck of the Irish must be with you.

Wow, I just can't stop looking at the HOPE butterfly tatted in your new fiery thread with a blue border. What a winning combo!

I would have never thought to pair this thread with blue.. Never even crossed my mind! Your tatting is beautiful -- I'm still working on getting my stitches that even!

I'm pleased that you enjoy the thread as much as I have, and that you love the card! (also, I don't think I added this in the card, but the letterings on the outside translate into "domo arigatou," or "Thank-you!")

Keep up the good work! ^^

Hi Katherinne!! I really like your "Fire" color. You have a great combination there. Hope you wrote it down. Thank you again for the thread!! How long have you been tatting?

Hi Typs Tatting! I will be making another motif out of the thread and maybe a fall leaf or two.

Hi Tatskool! Thank you! And William had a rather quiet St. Patrick's Day, watching me tat and behaving himself.

Hello Cioara, Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Isdihara, I too really like the combo of the "Fire thread with the blue". I must have the Luck of the Irish with me, haha I do, my William. I see I just won a giveaway at Aileen's.

Hi TattingChic, Glad you like my flower pendant. The pattern was from Georgia Seitz in 2003. Here is the link:

Hello Carolyn, I agree, the oragami card is sweet. And the thread made such a pretty motif. I'm planning to make matching earrings.

Hi Carol!

Thanks for stopping by my 'Easter' blogpost. It was your Mom's copy of Mary Konior's Visual Patterns book that prompted me to quickly place an order for my own book - back in the early '90s! I clearly remember her showing it to me at the Maple Festival, and I was bedazzled by the gorgeous patterns. Also I was amazed at the two colors used in the schematics and how clearly they were drawn.

It's ironic that we have two major events coming up, back-to-back! I'll be delighted to see you at whichever one you can attend!

This post of yours is amazing! (I'm intrigued by the spelling of Katherinne's name - I've never seen that before!) Her oriental cards are gorgeous. I commented to her about the tiny bird. I used to make that oragami bird - much larger! People were amazed how the wings flapped when the tail was pulled. I can't imagine how she could make it that tiny!

Your tatting, as usual, is so lovely. You're ahead of me on the "Hope" butterfly. I managed to print out the pattern! Sherry is so generous. Love the colors on both the butterfly and necklace.

Hello TattingChic, Thanks for stopping by and letting me know about your giveaway. I'm sorry I missed out on this one.

Hi Kathy,

Yes, two shows back to back. I heard that we don't have much left over in tatting for our next show. The Maple Syrup fest. was a big success!! I hope to come down on Sunday for Old Economy.

Hello Judy, thank you for stopping by and Happy Spring to you also!!
