My Tatting Throne - Where I Tat!

Sometime ago some tatters were blogging about where they spend their time tatting. I know this is soooo late, but this is where I spend my time tatting.

William - My Lucky Charm, is always by my side when tatting. He also helps me locate my tatting tools when they are misplaced. I had trouble finding my Birthstone Shuttle, he told me it was in my new tatting bag, the one made by Jane Eborall. Isn't it so cute, the material is musical notes.

So William kept insisting my shuttle was in the bag, so I told him to find it for me. He dove into the bag and pulled out my favorite shuttle. I was able to tat again. I was working on another Lotus Flower. I will post that next time.

I wanted to show the heart bookmarks I was tatting. The pattern was in an Australian Newsletter and is by Julie Patterson 2008. The purple and green one is Valdani Thread. The pink and rose one is Flora.

I am home sick today, I have a bad cold. I haven't had a bad cold like this in a long time. I hope I feel better by tomorrow. This is my third day of feeling awful.

Well, isn't William very helpful? The shuttle he found for you is very nice, no wonder it is your favorite. Your bookmarks are nice, too. Get better!

I love your tatting corner. And what a clever little leprechaun William is to help you keep up with your favorite tatting tools. Yea William! Oisin is too busy watching my grandson to do things like that. The bookmarks are very pretty. I hope you are feeling much better now. Such a nice person shouldn't feel so bad!

Hi Gina, I'm still not feeling good today. Hopefully by tomorrow I will feel better. Thanks!

Hello Maggie, thank you for stopping by. I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling well either. I got this cold/flu from my DH. I think tatting looks fabulous on crazy quilts. Keep up with the needle tatting. There are plenty of good videos on youtube that might help you with the shuttle. Hugs!

Hi JB, Thanks for stopping by. The newsletter was "TATTERS GUILD OF AUSTRALIA - NSW BRANCH INC." The editor is: Editor: Julie Patterson and Toni Storer. It is a great source of information and always pretty patterns in the newsletter. The heart was in the Feb. 2008 issue.

Hi TattingChic, thanks for the well wishes. And William is always very helpful in finding things for me.

Hello Carolyn, Thanks for stopping by, last week you were under the weather, now it's my turn. I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be much better.

((HI Laura)), Your so nice to say such sweet things. My head is aching now, probably because I've been taking advantage of being home to catch up on blogging and emails. I do like my tatting corner, it is very cozy and I love sitting in my living room tatting!

Hi Carol! It's difficult to have a cold when we're having such good weather here in Western PA. Sounds more like a flu! Hope you're starting to feel better.

I'm amazed at your pattern library. How did you come across an Australian newsletter?

Did you ever show all your tatting shuttles on your blog? I think everyone would be interested in seeing your shuttles 'up close'. I think you had them on your web site. I believe those are the impressive GR-8shuttles in your photos of your tatting corner.

Very cute bookmarks, too!

Sorry to hear that you are unwell, colds are miserable. Good to see your working place and William, met his brother whilst in Ireland!!! Another familiar sight was Jane's bag, all the pictures made me feel very much at home!

Hi Kathy, Thanks for stopping by. I am finally feeling better. Everyone in my house has caught the cold now. It started with my Dh.

I think I heard about the Australian Tatting Newsletter from Jane Eborall in 2006 when she was publishing her pattern at that time in the newsletter.

What a great idea to showcase my shuttles. I did have them on my web site, but I should show them here, I have more in my collection now too.

Have a great weekend!!

Hi Sally, That was so great you got to meet up with Pamela and meet William's brother. I received William in a Secret Santa Exchange from Pamela, he is very special, I was happy to receive him :)

And I just love Jane's tatting bag. It holds everything I need neat and tidy in all the pockets inside.

Have a lovely weekend!

Hahahaha, this is darling! I love seeing where all these creations come from. I can picture you there. (Cool elephant card, by the way!) The bookmarks are gorgeous!

Sorry to hear you are sick. I hope you're feeling better by now.

Looks like my tatting spot - right next to my husband who is watching TV. And I love your heart bookmarks.

I agree your tatting spot is way too tidy to be real! Fergeal is very proud of William, he trained him well.
Only just spotted this post and I am sick too, hope you are better now.
The bookmark pattern is a nice one. I keep intending to subscribe to the newsletter. Sally couldn't believe how small Fergeal is, I guess he does look huge in my blog photo.
