I did manage to tat some last night. Just a few quick butterflies. This is such a cute butterfly. I added them to some birthday cards. This pattern is by Mary McCarthy and is in an old Workbasket Magazine.
Oh, what pretty butterflies. Pretty colors, too. Don't you just love Workbasket? I had the good fortune to inherit my grandmother's Workbasket Magazines from the 1940's - 1960's what a wealth of beautiful tatting patterns they are and for a long time that was the only patterns available to me.
These are my most favorite flutters! This pattern was the very first tatting I did for an exchange and practically the very first tatting I completed. I might have made a bookmark before that but the butterflies excited me to no end!
